About Me

Olivia Welch
My infertility journey began in 2016 when I hoped to have another child, soon resulting in an early miscarriage. A year later I experienced a ruptured ectopic pregnancy, which I had never heard of before! A few months later I survived a second ectopic, after another rupture, leaving me without use of my fallopian tubes. I have tried IVF, but currently am enjoying being a mom of my firstborn. I started Ectopic Pregnancy Awareness to join the voices online seeking to squash the stigma around infant loss. When I'm not blogging, you can find me snuggling my beagle or collecting old books.

Spreading the word
about ectopics
Loss is a sensitive and deeply personal. That is why I take care to make posts as anonymous or as detailed as the person wishes it to be. You're story deserves to be heard! Many private groups exist offering support to those who are dealing with an ectopic pregnancy, however I wish to give the individuals a chance to share it more openly so that everyone can understand the signs to prevent rupture and to make it more normal to talk about. It's statistically probable that someone you know has experienced or will experience an ectopic pregnancy!
